PLEASE NOTE OUR CLINIC ADHERES TO A ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY REGARDING ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR TOWARDS STAFF OR PHYSICIANS……WHETHER IN-PERSON OR ON THE PHONE

We understand it can be frustrating to not always have access to an appointment as quickly as you may need…..and we understand that ill patients do not always act in a reasonable manner so we do take this into consideration.

Our team is here to help and support you as best we can and we try to do everything possible to accommodate our patients, especially through frustrating and difficult times.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE our physicians do not work solely in the clinic.  They provide a large amount of obstetric care in the Prenatal Clinic and also provide services in the Emergency Room, Cancer Clinic, Operating Room, Opioid Clinic, Hospital Inpatients, Care Home and other areas in the community.

Staff and physicians have the right to do their work in an environment free from violent, threatening or abusive behavior and everything will be done to protect that right including discharging patients from the clinic when needed.

We also reserve the right to remove any patient seen to be making abusive or defamatory remarks on social networking sites (Facebook/Twitter etc).

In order for the clinic to maintain good relations with patients we would like to ask our patients to read and take note of the types of behavior that would be found unacceptable:

  • Verbal abuse using bad language or swearing at staff or physicians

  • Any physical violence towards staff, physicians or other patients

  • Racial abuse or sexual harassment

  • Causing damage/stealing from the clinic, staff, physicians or other patients

  • Obtaining drugs and/or medical services fraudulently

YOUR FAMILY DOCTOR KNOWS YOU BEST

✔️  They know your medical history and have your records.

✔️  They know your family and they understand your needs.

✔️  Many medical issues can be assessed and treated by your family doctor over the phone or video.

✔️  Evidence shows that ongoing care from a family doctor leads to better overall health outcomes.

✔️  Your family doctor will continue to refer to specialists and order testing as needed.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this evolving situation during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are all working very hard to keep you, your families, our staff and our community safe and healthy.
